Laurie Baron Peebler has a BA from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and an MBA from the University of Texas at Austin. After transitioning from corporate marketing, where she worked with such companies like Ann Taylor and Nestle, she moved to Hollywood and joined the Directors Guild of America, becoming an assistant director in television and film production where her credits include Arrested Development, Gilmore Girls and Nip/Tuck among others. Next Laurie pursued her passion for the arts by studying with Shakespeare & Co. and performing in regional theater before joining the LA Opera where she continues to work as a dancer and teaching artist, staging youth operas in public schools across Los Angeles.

Laurie’s debut novel is BETA ZETA KATIEBUG, a story based on her experience as a sorority sister in North Carolina, which has been honed in the UCLA Extension Writers’ Program Master Class in Novel Writing.
